Upgrade the firmware of IR915 to a fixed version
Notice:
The firmware version of the WIFI module before r8968 will cause frequent disconnection and periodic restart of the IR900 device. A mismatch between the firmware version of the WIFI module and the motherboard may also cause this problem
The following guide will show you how to check the FW version of the WIFI module and the motherboard of IR900, and what firmware needs to be upgraded to a version that has fixed the problem.
Step 1 backup running configuration
Step 2 reset your device
Step 3 check the FW version of the WIFI module and the motherboard of the IR900 product.
Check the motherboard's FW version
Access the web configuration page of Router(IP addr:192.168.2.1 username:adm password:123456), and go to "Administration >> System>> System Status>>Firmware Version" to confirm
Check WIFI module's FW version
access the web configuration page of the wifi module(IP addr:192.168.2.234 username: adm password:123456)
Step 4 Determine the upgrade method according to the firmware version matching situation
After verifying the firmware version of the WIFI and the motherboard, there will be the following two situations
Scenario 1.
The firmware of the motherboard and the WIFI module match, but the WIFI firmware is before r8968
Solution:
Upload the WIFI module firmware first, do not click to restart after the reboot prompt appears
Then enter the router's web configuration interface(http://192.168.2.1), go to Administration>>Upgrade, upload the motherboard firmware, and click restart after the reboot prompt appears, and the upgrade is complete
Scenario 2.
The firmware of the motherboard and the WIFI module do not match
2.1 The WIFI module firmware is before r8968
2.1.1 motherboard FW version also is an older one.
Solution
The method of upgrading FW is the same as Scenario 1's
2.1.2 motherboard FW version is a recent or the latest one.
Solution
Access http://192.168.2.234 with your browser, upload the WIFI firmware to the version that matches the motherboard firmware
The upload method is the same as above, but you need to click to restart when you see the prompt here
2.2 The WIFI module firmware is after r8968
Solution
Access http://192.168.2.1 with your browser, Upload the motherboard firmware separately to the version that matches the WIFI firmwareThe upload method is the same as above, but you need to click to restart when you see the prompt here

Note:
r9332 or later version has integrated both motherboard and wifi module into a *.pkg file.
So just upload the *.pkg can upgrade the IR900 series product to a newer version.
Step 5 if the problem has been solved, go back to your configuration web(192.168.2.1) page to import the running-config just saved.
