IR305 from Verizon Slow Upload Speed/ Trouble Connecting some Applications
If you purchased an IR305 from Verizon and experiencing slow upload speed or having trouble connecting certain Apps, please change the following settings.
- Connect to IR305 using WiFi or ethernet cable
- open 192.168.2.1 on your web browser
- login using adm/123456
- go to Network>>Cellular, check Show Advanced Options
- uncheck Static MTU
- click Apply at bottom
Since Verizon is using a different network structure than the other cellular providers, they are using a smaller MTU which is 1428. If we set MTU to 1500 in the router, then any upload from the router larger than 1428 would be dropped by Verizon network.
